These days there aren’t a ton of places that offer maternity outfits for pictures that you can try on in person BEFORE you buy it. Sure, returns are usually free (if you spend enough money), but that’s just one more thing you’d have to put on your to-do list.

I took some time recently to check out a few stores around Tacoma to see what they have to offer for moms-to-be in terms of stylish + comfortable outfits that will be flattering for your Tacoma maternity photo shoot. I’ve also listed a fewonline options that have quality maternity outfits that work great for photos.

Storefront Options: Maternity Outfits for Pictures

Second Born Maternity Wear (University Place, WA)

This is an amazing consignment shop that specializes in second-hand maternity clothing. The shop owner, Lesly, is super friendly and would love to help you find what you have in mind for a maternity outfit for photos. She has everything from maternity jeans to nursing bras, and even a section of maternity dresses available to rent! This is a great option if you want a dress for maternity photos, but know that you are unlikely to wear it again.

Fun fact: she also has a whole section dedicated to non-maternity consignment clothing! (I’ve found some great stuff for myself here!)

The Egg & I (Tacoma / Midland, WA)

Another option for second-hand maternity clothes, this shop offers a great selection of maternity clothing in excellent condition. They also have lots of great clothing and gear for babies and kids.

Online Options: Maternity Outfits for Pictures

Pink Blush Maternity (online)

I am adding this recommendation because they have some great layering pieces (search ‘cover up’ on their site) and a huge selection of maternity dresses. Some of their stuff does come with a bigger price tag, but hey – you could always consign them with Secondborn Maternity later!

Target

There was a time when maternity clothing was essentially removed from the Target floors, but lately I’ve noticed more and more options at Tacoma-area stores. Since you’re probably already down for a Target run anyway, it’s worth checking out what they’ve got!
