Have you ever considered having an in home family photo session? Here in the PNW, we have a short few months where we are pretty much guaranteed no rain – but that doesn’t mean the rest of the year is out for having photos taken. Having your family photos done in your home is a great idea!
Taking photos at home means everyone will be comfortable during your session
It’s your space and your things, and your photos would include the people you share it with on a daily basis. You can easily be yourself when you’re in a place you’re comfortable. Especially for kids, it may encourage their personality to shine being in a place they are familiar with.
Added bonus: you don’t have to worry about outfit mishaps or forgetting diapers on the way to your session!
Another perk with in home sessions is that weather does not impact an in home photography session!
It can be pouring down rain outside and it won’t matter! The natural light from windows will still give us all we need to capture your family.
Most importantly, your home is the perfect place for photos because it’s where you make memories daily
This alone makes the photos we create there even more special. Whether it’s your forever home or a temporary landing place until you find where you’ll really put down some roots, your home is a place that is comforting and where your children grow, making the photos you have taken there unique and meaningful.
Sessions that can easily be done in or around your home:
- Newborn
- Family
- Maternity
- Day in the life / documentary session
- Senior portraits
- Engagements
Where you choose to have your photos taken can define the look and feel of your gallery. So, you want to make sure that you work with your photographer to choose a place that reflects you/your family the best.
The next time you are booking a photo session, don’t leave your home off of the list of possibilities!
